ISLA (Inclusive Synchronous Learning Activities) guide

This guide will explain what the capabilities and use-cases are for rooms set up for ISLA teaching.

What does an ISLA room have?

An ISLA room has:

  • An interface via the Crestron control panel to select a choice of camera view for the remote audience and to mute/unmute the ceiling mics.
  • A second camera located for a general view of the student audience.
  • A large display screen to show the interface of Zoom or Teams and chat window for the benefit of those in class.
  • Ceiling microphones located above the student audience that feed into the Zoom or Teams session.
