Use Quiz for summative assessment

The Exam Profile restricts access to websites apart from turnitinuk.com, moodle.city.ac.uk, and moodle4.city.ac.uk.

To use the Exam Profile, IT must be made aware of the exam dates and locations and they will reset the Exam account password and will arrange for an engineer to attend and log in all machines prior to the exam start. The password will also be provided to the invigilator(s) and should be reset after each exam.

IT should also be made aware if printing is required as charging will be turned off for the exam period if required.

• Group Policy on login creates the D:\exam and D:\exam\desktop folders and also redirects 'MyDocs/Documents' to D:\exam and the desktop to D:\exam\desktop.
• Login and logoff scripts apply to archive data from the above folders and upload to a network share automatically and also prompt prior to deletion of the folder contents. A separate login script also maps the L drive and printers.
  Note: The deletion of the folder contents only happens if the invigilator chooses to proceed with that process.
• Internet access restricted to turnitinuk.com, moodle.city.ac.uk, moodle4.city.ac.uk
• Desktop background set to use an Exam conditions apply image.
• Recent file menus have been disabled in Word and Excel.
• Auto-save has been redirected to d:\exam, currently at intervals of 5 minutes.
• Google Chrome, Opera 11, Safari and Skype have been blocked from launching.
• Map network drive and access to command prompt has been removed.
• Group Policy will create desktop shortcuts to Word and Exam Moodle, the latter to load moodle.city.ac.uk or moodle4.city.ac.uk with Firefox and not IE as is the present default.
