On some modules, you may be required to record your own attendance in the face-to-face lectures or seminars using the Attendance activity on Moodle.
Attendance at lectures, seminars, tutorials and practical classes is an integral part of your programme and you are expected to be regular and punctual in your attendance. Specific attendance requirements are set out in the handbook for each course.
To record your attendance:
- Open the module that relates to the face-to-face session you are attending.
- Select the link to the Attendance activity from the Module page when prompted to by your lecturer.
- You can also select the Attendance link in your Module Dashboard to open the Attendance activity. Select the relevant assignment to open it.
- On Grid format, open the Block drawer and navigate to the Activities block, select the link to Attendances.
- Select the link Submit attendance from the points column for the relevant session.
- Enter the random password displayed by your lecturer in the password field.
- Select the appropriate response.
- Save changes to record your attendance.
