Communicate with Quickmail and messages

Find out how you can communicate with your students via Moodle Quickmail and messaging

Communicate with Quickmail and messaging

Moodle has a variety of communication tools. The most commonly used are forums, Quickmail and messages.

  • Quickmail provides quick access to basic but essential mail options. It allows Lecturers and Programme Administrators to email all or a group of students on a module.
  • Messages in Moodle is an Instant Messaging option enabling chats with other Moodle users and groups.
  • Forums allow students and staff to interact with one another even when people are taking part at different times and in different places. A separate guide, linked below, looks at forums in detail.
