As well as creating content using Moodle's resources and activities, you can create content packages outside Moodle and import these into your module. You can import SCORM and IMS content packages as well as zipped websites into your module to display to your students.
You might need to use these features when you purchase an external training course or resources from a third party provider or if you create content using an e-learning authoring tool.
