About Interactive Video

The Interactive Video content type allows users to make their videos more engaging by including multiple choice and fill in the blank questions, pop-up text and other types of interactions.

Create an Interactive Video

Add an activity in Moodle

  1. Turn editing on and navigate to the section where you want the H5P activity to be located
  2. Select Add an activity or resource 
  3. Select H5P Interactive Content from the Activities tab.
 

Provide Description

  1. Give your activity a Description if required.
  2. Check the box alongside Display description on module page if you want the Description field to appear on the Moodle module.

Set grading strategy

  1. H5P activities default to a maximum grade of 10. As H5P activities appear in the Gradebook for students, we recommend you set up a formative assessment category and set the total for this category to 0 so that the grades for these activities do not contribute to the course total

Select interactive activity type

  1. Select Interactive Video from the Editor drop-down list and select Details and then Use.

Set up Interactive Video

  1. Provide a Title for the Interactive Video.
  2. Review the tutorial on H5P for some top tips on how to create an effective Interactive Video.
  3. Scroll to the end of the page and select Save and display to review the Interactive Video.
