Set up ratings for forums, databases and glossaries so students and/or staff can feedback on student contributions.
Get started - Ratings
Example Scales
Create scale
Edit Scale
Enable Ratings
Enable Ratings
Enable students to rate their peers

Enable Ratings
Turn
Edit mode
on.
Select the three dots alongside the
Glossary
,
Forum
or
Database
to which you want to add a Rating.
Select
Edit settings
.
Open the
Ratings
settings. Open the
Aggregate type
menu and choose the required aggregation method.
For Single scales you need to select
Sum
of ratings
.
Choose
Scale
from the
Type
menu.
Choose your
Scale
from the
Scale
menu. The Scale you select determines the list of options those rating can choose from.
If you want to add a time restriction to when Ratings can be applied, check the box alongside
Restrict ratings to items with dates in this range
.
Set your
From
and
To
dates.
Scroll to the end of the activity settings and select
Save and return to module
.
In Moodle 3.9,
Turn editing on
. Select the
Edit
link alongside the assignment. Select
Edit settings
.
