About Kaltura Capture recordings

Kaltura Capture is traditionally used to record your screen, camera and audio simultaneously in order to create a screencast.

However it can also be used to capture just your audio. You can then edit the recorded track into a podcast. We recommend using Audacity if you wish to remove any parts, or add features such as an intro/outro music track.

For more information on editing your audio-only file after recording it, see our Audacity guide.

Record using Kaltura Capture

Recording using Kaltura is limited to only capturing one audio feed (ie you). If you are intending on recording multiple people at once (eg a discussion or interview) then using Zoom may be a better option.

See our specific Kaltura guide for more information on recording using Kaltura Capture.
