Podcasting guide

The best way to subscribe and access podcast content is via the Kaltura MediaSpace (KMS) Go app, where you can watch and listen to content from MediaSpace as well as subscribe to channels.

The app is available from the Google Play Store (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS). 

You can either search for the podcast channel via the app or by following the subscription link your lecturer(s) have posted in Moodle.

After subscribing to a specific channel, you will automatically receive an email notification each time new media is released. New podcasts will automatically be available in your subscribed channels.

You can also access podcast recordings directly through MediaSpace (via a browser) instead of downloading the app.

Method 1: Via a browser

1. Your tutor will either send you a subscription link or make it available on Moodle.
2. Select the link and log into MediaSpace using your username and password.
3. You will be automatically subscribed to the channel.

Method 2: Via the app

1. On the app, use the Explore option at the bottom of the screen.
2. In the What are you looking for? box, type the name of the channel supplied by your tutor and perform a search.
3. Individual movies and audio files will be returned matching the criteria, but also any channels. Find and select the channel you require.
4. To subscribe to the channel, select the Subscribe button in the middle of the screen.
5. Once subscribed, you will be informed by email whenever new content is added.
6. On the app, select the Subscriptions option at the bottom of the screen to see all your channels.
7. Select a channel to play any media in it.
