Reading Lists Online (RLO) makes it very easy to find books, e-books, journal articles and any other resources your lecturers have recommended for your modules. The main advantages of using Reading Lists Online are:
The lecturer may have structured the content of the reading list, and indicated the key sources you will be expected to read before the next class or seminar, as well as suggestions for further readings to help you get the most out of your modules.
They may have also added notes to highlight the most important chapters, which topic is best covered in the text, or why you should read it.
You can access your Reading Lists for your taught modules from Moodle.
Use the link to Reading Lists Online to access the entire reading list
Use the link(s) to Weekly reading to access sections of the reading list. Each link will contain readings and resources relevant to that particular week or topic.
If your module uses the grid format, there will be no module dashboard. Use the Activities block in the block drawer to access links to the the Reading Lists Online or Weekly reading.
We recommend that you do not use the export function on Reading Lists Online to create a bibliography for your assignments. Entries on reading list can be created without the full information you need to correctly reference them.
Please see the Library Guide on citing and referencing for full guidance on creating an accurate bibliography.
