The new Crestron panel has been installed in 28 rooms at the Clerkenwell campus. See the box below for details of the rooms.
Press the screen to start the AV system. It may take a minute or so to load.
The bar at the bottom of the screen has options for you to turn off the AV system or request help with the Pod. This bar will remain on the screen wherever you go on the panel.
Select the Input Selection tab.
Select the source of your teaching materials.
This will show a blank screen on the screens in the room as well as on echo360 lecture capture.

The Camera Controls tab lets you adjust both the pod and the audience (if available) camera either using the built-in presets or the manual adjustment controls. These Camera Controls affect what is recorded to Lecture Capture, they can be adjusted if you need a different camera angle for your students.
When you make changes you will see the camera view on the left hand monitor as a "Confidence Monitor" when you are happy with the adjustments go back to Input Selection and select your input.

Presets:
AV POD
Camera is directed at the Pod. This is the most used setting and defaults to this as it is most commonly where the lecturer is situated.
Wide
A zoomed out, wider view of the front of the classroom.
Whiteboard
Camera re-focuses on the whiteboard - choose this when the whiteboard is featuring prominently in the teaching.
Privacy
This mode makes the camera face the ceiling, not showing anything within the room.
Please note: this only hides the input from the camera, your onscreen content will still be displayed unless you use Hide Image on the Inputs screen.
Audience
Only cameras in certain rooms have the functionality to allow for adjustments via the pod panel. More of these cameras are being introduced but most rooms will lack this functionality and display the message: “Camera controls not available for this camera”. This is nothing to report or worry about.
The Screen Controls control the projector screens in the room. You can adjust or hide the screens using these controls.
If you have more than one screen, you can unlink the screens, displaying different sources from each projector. Separate the screens and then use the options that appear to select which source is projected on which screen.
Note: Hiding screens here only hides them in the room, it doesn't hide the image in Teams/Zoom.
Whatever is selected on the left screen is what will be shown on Echo360 lecture capture.

Note: If the room you are in only has one screen, there won't be an option to have separate controls.
You can adjust the volume of the speakers and mute the in-room microphone (where available) via the controls on the bottom bar. If the room supports microphone use, the Microphone Mute on the bottom bar mutes the signal to the in-room speakers but transmits to Lecture Capture/Teams/Zoom.
This bar will remain on the screen wherever you go on the panel.

The Microphones tab allows you to adjust the volume of the microphone and pair a lapel microphone for use in the room. It also displays information such as battery level and pairing status.

To pair the microphone, select pair and follow the onscreen instructions.

The Lecture Capture screen allows you to preview your camera and content, as well as pause and stop the recording. Pausing, stopping or resuming the recording may take a minute to complete.
The blue lecture capture bar at the top of the panel will always be there and will change colour depending on the Lecture Capture status. It is red when recording or flashing orange when paused.

At the end of your session, do not turn off the podium PC but log out of your account so that the PC is already on for the next lecturer.
To shut the AV system down, press the Power button in the bottom right. This may take a minute.
