Wireless microphones

The wireless lapel microphone is used to amplify the presenter’s voice and to pick up audio for Lecture Capture.

The Great Hall has four microphones which when taken out of the microphone holder will automatically pair. Please leave the microphones on the Pod in the charger holders.

The lapel microphone will pair automatically, and a green light will display on the microphone. The microphone is ready to use.

It is possible to pair your own lapel microphone, follow on screen prompts to connect to The Great Hall.

Pairing the microphone on the Crestron

Switch the button on the microphone to mute it. A yellow light will display on the microphone when muted.

Replace the lapel microphone in the docking station after use to charge the battery for the next user.

The handheld wireless microphone can be used with the audience. It activates and pairs when it is picked up. Replace it in the docking station after use to ensure the battery is charged for the next use.

Switch the button on the microphone to mute it. A yellow light will display on the microphone to indicate if it’s muted.

Wacom tablet (large touchscreen)

The Wacom screen is not just a touchscreen for the PC, but also a writing and drawing tablet to simulate a whiteboard, equipped with an interactive pen. It is digital pen and ink technology, where using software such as Microsoft OneNote, you can display on the video wall to the audience. The pen can be used to write and draw, but also to erase, simply by rotating the pen to use the in-built eraser. PowerPoint slides can not only be presented by using the pen or touchscreen, but also annotated live in class.
