The AV in a learning space is controlled via a Crestron touch panel on the Pod.
The Crestron is split into two panels.
Dual projection, which is available in some DALI rooms, allows you to send different sources to each projection screen e.g. PC image on one screen and visualiser image on the other.
Lecture Capture can only record one of the sources being used. To set the correct source to record use the matrix grid to select the content to capture from the Lecture Capture column.
You can control the Lecture Capture camera via the DALI control panel. This means that that you can choose what section of the front of the room will be recorded.
All DALI rooms have a built-in lectern microphone as well as fixed microphones in the ceiling above the pod and projection screen - so audio will be recorded as long as you stay near the whiteboard and projection screen while teaching.
You can order a wireless lapel microphone for voice reinforcement and to improve Lecture Capture audio quality via IT Self Service Portal.
A Lecture capture is recording message will display in a red banner on the main page of the Crestron panel when a recording is active. The lecture capture icon on the right hand side of the panel will turn red.
Rooms EG03 and EG04 have a group work setup making it easier for students to share work between themselves as well as presenting to the class.
You also have the ability to send different inputs to each desk e.g. PC input to Desk A, Visualiser input to Desk B.
In room B200, you have the opportunity to use the portable whiteboards and to control the camera position in the room to display to students in class or via a Lecture Capture recording.
