After Lecture Capture guide

Explore how to check, edit and share your recording after a Lecture Capture

About advanced sharing functionality

In most instances you will be sharing your Lecture Capture content with students by connecting your Lecture Capture to the associated Moodle module.

If required, you can also cross publish recordings to more than one module and create a City wide link to your recording.

Cross publish your recording

In Echo, you can publish to more than one section (module) if you are the owner of the Lecture Capture recording e.g. you were added as the owner when the Lecture Capture was scheduled.

  1. Login to Echo360.Three dot menu opened on recording in Echo360 library
  2. From your Library, find the relevant video.
  3. Open the three dots menu on the bottom right of the video and select Share.
  4. An overlay window opens displaying four options. Select Class (to share with a Moodle module).

Class selected in Share Settings and fields completed

  2. Select New Class
  3. Provide a Class Name, this will be the title of the recording so make it meaningful for students.
  4. Provide a start date and time for the recording so students know which part of the module it relates to.
  5. Use the Available settings to select when you’d like to make the recording available.
  6. Select Share.

Connect Echo to second Moodle module

Collections

Echo 360 Collections allow staff to create collections of recordings from different modules and events. You can create a collection of recordings from your library, and make it available to students who aren't enrolled on the module the recordings were sourced from.

You can enrol other staff onto your collections and they can then add to and manage the collection.

Please note that at City, the ability to create and manage collections has been restricted to staff only.
