This guidance outlines how to grant extensions or a second attempt to students on Anonymous Assignments.
Due to the nature of anonymous marking, staff with Programme Administrator access to modules will need to set extensions and resubmissions as they can view student names.
Do not use restrict access groups to manage extensions or resubmissions as students can see which students are members of each group.
You will need to activate Attempts reopened in the assignment settings.
The Programme Administrator has to reopen the assignment for the student as the Lecturer cannot view the student names in anonymous submissions.
In this case the assignment automatically reopens until the student reaches the passing grade which has been set by the lecturer in the assignment. This can be enabled by:
In Moodle 3.9, Turn editing on. Scroll to the relevant assignment and then select Edit and choose Edit settings.
It is possible to override a deadline and cut off date for one or more students in the event of a technical problem by using Assignment overrides.
