About monitor progress

Moodle has a number of features to help you to monitor student progress and to help students monitor their own progress through a module.

Lecturers can monitor student progress and review engagement through the use of the following features.

  1. Reports: Generate reports on when and how frequently students have been engaging with module content.
  2. Attendance: Keep a record of student attendance using the Attendance activity.
  3. Feedback: Create and deliver surveys to collect feedback on the module or specific lectures or activities. The Feedback activity is particularly useful for mid-term evaluation or for collecting one minute feedback after a lecture to evaluate what went well in the lecture and to identify parts of the content that students are struggling with.
  4. Scheduler: Enable students to book face-to-face or online appointments with personal tutors and module teaching staff.
  5. Checklist activity: Set up a Checklist activity to help students review their own progress through a module.
  6. Activity completion: Set completion criteria for a specific activity or resource. A tick appears against the item when the student meets the criteria.
