Submit Turnitin Assignment guide

This guide will explain how to submit a Turnitin assignment

About Turnitin End-User Licence Agreement

Before you submit an assignment to Turnitin for the new academic year, you may see a notification about accepting the Turnitin End-User Licence Agreement. You will need to accept the Agreement to submit your assignment. We recommend that you submit a practice Turnitin assignment in advance of your assignment deadline to have time to read and accept the Agreement.

Practise submitting to a Turnitin Assignment

  1. Go to the Learning with Moodle (2023/24) module.
  2. Open the Practice submissions section.
  3. Select the Turnitin Assignment: Practice module link. The module opens in a new window. Select Enrol me.
  4. You will get access to the Turnitin Assignment: Practice submission where you can upload a test file and read and accept the Turnitin Agreement.
  5. Ensure that the test file has at least 25 words and does not contain text that you plan on using later as part of your coursework.
  6. The Agreement will open up in a new window, unless your browser has pop-up blocking turned on.

Allow pop-ups to review Turnitin Agreement

To view the blocked pop-up page follow the steps below:

  • Firefox: When the pop-up window is blocked you will be able to see a message in the address bar. To view the Agreement page, select options and then allow popups for moodle4.city.ac.uk
  • Chrome: Chrome will display a message in the address bar to indicate that it has blocked a pop-up page. To view the agreement page, select on and select the option to always allow pop-ups from moodle4.city.ac.uk
  • Internet Explorer: Internet Explorer will display a message on the bottom of the page to indicate that a pop-up page has been blocked.

Select Allow once if you wish to only see the current blocked page. We recommend you to select the option to Always allow from Options for this site menu.
