Digital Education training

Essential training for professional staff

Course officers

New course office staff must complete the Programme Administrator Training module to be enrolled as a Programme Administrator.

You or your line manager should request your enrolment via the request form on the IT Self Service Portal.

Once you have completed your online Programme Administrator training and/or-face-to-face training and your enrolment is approved by your school representative, staff in the Digital Education team will enrol you as a Programme Administrator on the relevant categories. In Moodle 4, you will also be auto-enrolled on all modules in a category so that you get access to the Module overview and Recently accessed modules blocks.

Once you have completed the Programme Administrator training, explore the workshops available or book one-to-one training to develop your skills.

Other professional roles

If you are in a role which requires programme administrator access to all modules in a department or school, for example in a quality or examinations role, you should also complete the Programme Administrator training and request access to the modules via the request form on the IT Self Service Portal.

Digital accessibility

Accessibility helps us to promote diversity, equity and inclusion. It is a cross-institutional responsibility. By making your content more accessible for disabled students and staff, you will be improving the experience for everyone.
