Presentation Podium Training - 30 minutes

This short, hands-on session will introduce you to the DALI presentation podium, guiding you through how to present content to students by using the in-built Windows PC, laptop connectivity and visualiser. We will also look at the in-room controls for the Lecture Capture recording system.

Please note: This workshop is face-to-face. If room and staff availability allows, we can run this session in the room you are due to teach in. However, during term time, rooms can be difficult to book and so the session will take place in the LEaD training room - B310.

A separate workshop covers the use of the ISLA system.

ISLA Technical Training

ISLA is a system of hybrid teaching and learning where the instructor and some students are physically in a teaching space, while other students join online simultaneously.

This training will focus on the technical aspects of ISLA, including how to set up the cameras, microphones and speakers and how to control your Zoom/Teams meeting. This session assumes that participants already have familiarity with the basics of either Zoom or Teams.

Please note:

  • We advise that ISLA training is arranged for a programme team and is held in the room(s) that will be used for teaching.
  • The requestor should ensure that their preferred room(s) is booked via Timetabling.
  • This workshop is focused on using ISLA for teaching and learning, and not for other uses such as hybrid meetings.
