Staff enrolled as Lecturers and Programme Administrators have the ability to edit other users’ H5P content via the Content bank in the module unless the owner as changed the content to unlisted.
Staff enrolled on the module make need to edit another user's H5P content to make adjustments or to update information.
1. Navigate to Module page which holds the H5P package
2. Select the More link on the contextual navigation menu and select Content bank option.
3. Select the H5P you would like to edit.
4. Select the Edit button at the top left of the screen.
You will now be able to edit the content. Remember to save any changes before exiting the window.
Moodle does not warn you if another user is working on the same H5P package at the same time, and your changes may not be saved.
We recommend that editing should happen sequentially, i.e. one after the other, and not concurrently, i.e. multiple editors working on the same document like is possible in Office 365.
Once you have created Public content in the Content bank or added unlisted H5P content as an H5P activity for students to complete it is not possible to prevent other staff members from editing the H5P content. You can choose to download the H5P content and store it on OneDrive if you need to retain the original version of the content.
If you want to reuse the original H5P content on the same or a different iteration of the module you can upload the saved file to the Content bank and then add it as an activity for students.
