Restrictions on embedded multimedia content

Find video and copy embed code

  1. Search for Alexander Press on the Library's Database A-Z.
  2. Login with your City credentials.
  3. Use the search box to find a video.
  4. Once you have located the video you want to share, select the Embed/link option underneath the video.
  5. The embed code will open in a pop-up. Select the code and copy it.

Embed video on Moodle Page resource

  1. Open the relevant module.
  2. Turn Edit mode on.
  3. Open the section where you want to display the video.
  4. Select Add an activity or resource. From the Resources tab select Page.
  5. Give the Page a meaningful name.
  6. Scroll to the Page content input field.
  7. Input some contextual information about the video that you are embedding. You could also include some questions that you want the students to consider as they watch the video.
  8. On the top-row of the text editor, select the Arrow button to display the full functionality of the text editor.
  9. Select the triangle brackets icon to display the HTML code.

  10. Place your cursor in the location within the content where you want the video to display. Paste the embed code into the text editor.
  11. Select the triangle brackets icon to review the Page.
  12. Select Save and display to review the embedded video.
