Zoom staff guide

Zoom is one of the University's Virtual Classrooms. This guide will help you to activate your Zoom account and get your Zoom live sessions set up for teaching.

About new Zoom interface

The Zoom interface has been refreshed with a new icon set, new menus and the ability to personalise your meeting toolbar. Prior to your first teaching or tutorial session on Zoom for the new academic year, we recommend setting up a demo meeting to familiarise yourself with the refreshed interface and add all your commonly used features to your meeting toolbar.

Move features from More menu

The meeting toolbar has fewer icons, making it easier to use. Other features are consolidated in the More menu. Open the More menu and drag and drop each of the features you use regularly to the meeting toolbar. You can then re-order the features on your meeting toolbar by dragging and dropping them into position within the central area of the toolbar.
