Once logged in to Moodle (moodle4.city.ac.uk), staff and students land on the Dashboard page. The page provides access to modules and activities that require action e.g, grading for staff and assessment deadlines for students. The page contains five blocks.
The Dashboard is very flexible and you can organise the blocks the way you want to interact with it. For example, as a staff member you might find it more useful to move the Module overview block to the top of the page. Switch Edit mode on from the top of the page and use the compass icons on the top right of a block to drag and drop the block into a new location on the page.
Do not move or hide the Advanced Notifications block which is located at the top of the Dashboard page. If you move this, you may miss an important update about Moodle.
You can add more functionality to the Dashboard.
If you remove a block or re-organise your Dashboard, you can reset it to its default state at any time.
There is no confirmation screen prior to your Dashboard being reset, so ensure you want to reset the Dashboard page prior to selecting the button.
