TheSearch forums block allows you to search the course forums for a word or phrase. The facility to search a forum is available via Forums so you do not need to add this block.
Basic search
Open a Forum on the module page.
To search type the word or phrase you want to find in the Search forums input field.
For basic searching of one or more words anywhere in the Forum, type them separated by spaces.
Advanced search
If you want to use advanced search options, put your cursor in the Search forums field without typing any text. Press Enter on your keyboard. Additional search fields display enabling you to further refine your search.
