Create content guide

Overview of the popular resource types that you can create to present content to students.

About Label

Labels are text, images or multimedia that are embedded directly on the module page. There are two types of Labels available in Moodle - Label and Label (Bootstrap). Use Label to:

  1. Add structure and organisation to a long section by adding subheadings.
  2. Display a short embedded sound file or video directly in the Introductory topic.

In Moodle 4, Labels do not display in the Module index for students, so limit your use of Labels when:

  1. Providing instructions for resources or activities on your module.
    • Instead add the information to the content description and select to display description on the module page.
  2. Providing learning content.
    • Instead add the content to a Page resource.

Create Label

  2. Open the section where you want to display your label.
