The black keyboard and mouse control the lectern PC

Wireless keyboard

The built-in trackpad allows you to move the cursor on-screen and click.

PowerPoint remote

If you are presenting a PowerPoint slideshow and want to use the clicker to progress slides, insert the USB dongle from the remote into your laptop.

Don't forget to remove the dongle when you are finished.

Radio lapel microphone

  1. A lapel microphone sends its audio to the Rapidmooc via a radio transmitter. Turn on the transmitter using the power button on the top.
  2. A green number will identify the microphone and a green light shows the transmitter is on and charged.
  3. If you press the power button lightly, the green light will turn red. This means the microphone is on mute. Press again lightly to switch back to green.
  4. Place the microphone around 10cm from your chin and pointing upwards. It can be attached with the small clip. Hide the microphone as well as possible.
  5. Pass the microphone wire underneath your clothing. Make sure nothing rubs against the wire nor the microphone.
  6. Put the wireless transmitter in the inside pocket of your jacket or clip it onto your trousers (preferably on the side rather than behind for a better audio signal).
  7. A small circular indicator at the bottom left of the Rapidmooc screen shows your audio level. This will change as you speak.
  8. One or two radio microphones can be used in a presentation. The sounds from both with be combined.
  9. To switch off the mic, press the power button for several seconds. The microphone will switch off.

This allows you to draw on-screen using the pen provided.

To use the Wacom in your presentation:-

  1. Attach the USB lead to your laptop.
  2. Switch on the tablet using the small button at the very top right edge of the screen.
  3. You may need to adjust the presentation mode of your laptop so the Wacom mirrors your laptop screen.
  4. Your laptop will also need the Wacom drivers installed in order to work with the tablet properly. Windows and Mac drivers can be downloaded from the Wacom website near the bottom of the page.

Visualiser

This acts as a camera for showcasing items on presenting paper documents.

To use the visualiser:-

  1. Select VIS on the Crestron panel.
  2. The signal will take a few seconds to change over.
  3. Lift up with visualiser.
