About Module completion status block

The Module completion status block shows students what they have done towards completing the module. It provides Programme Administrators, Lecturers & Teaching Assistants with a direct link to the Course completion report.

The Module completion status block is one element of the Module completion feature set. If Module completion is in use then this block can be added to provide students with an overall view of their progress towards completing the course.

Adding the course completion status block to your module

  1. Turn Edit mode on.
  2. Open the Block drawer on the right of the module.
  3. Select Add a block. An overlay window displays available blocks.
  4. Select Module completion status from the list.
  5. The Module completion status block will display at the bottom of the Block drawer.

Students can see their progress in the module by looking at the content of the block or selecting the More details link at the bottom of the block to get an overview of what is required to complete the module.Module completion status showing as complete

The student, if required, can mark an activity as completed on the module homepage.

The block provides Programme Administrators, Lecturers & Teaching Assistants with a link to the completion report.

  1. Select View course report to review student progress towards Module completion.
  1. A report displays students' progress towards module completion based on the completion conditions set.
